Joining an internship can be filled with a lot of mixed feelings? will I be able to be of help, will I learn? are my skills good enough? what if it gets too tough? And it does not help when you joined a remote internship a few hours to the deadline. What will you do when there are 3 tasks waiting for you and your only source of internet does not allow you to even enter the #slack channel where the instructions for the tasks are?

Well, Never give up is what they say or in full

“Winners Never Quit and Quitters Never Win”

So in the wee hours of the day I did get a manageable internet speed from my ISP and rushed through my tasks… within minutes of submitting I was advanced to #Stage 1 of the internship… *Drum Rolls*. Next task was to find bugs on either Timbu.com or Verify.ng

Timbu? Thats like my name Tim and Bu… are you thinking Harry with a single “r” and ending in “i”? No am not the son of a Nigerian President. Anyway Jokes aside, I headed over to Timbu.com with various tools in search for bugs… you know, if i get bitten by one — a bug or buggy-man may be created (remember Peter Parker and the spider?)

In my Imagination: How I headed over to Timbu.com in search of bugs

On Arrival at Timbu, the site did not look like there were any bugs at all. Rather a nice shade of blue (happens to be my favorite color) across the site. So I headed over to the Visa sections hoping that I might find some escape out of Nigeria. Yeah I chose Nigeria and decided to try the option that says Visa free countries for Nigerians.

OMG I found “nothing” to it; everything was zero. So I tried Canada and to my suprise it also returned Zero countries that holders of Canadian passports can visit without Visa.

Visa not Required countries for Canadian citizens

0 countries do not require a visa from Canadian at the port of entry. This means Canadians can travel into this countries without being asked for a visa at the immigration desk.

Bingo. Even when I had not yet started the search for a bug, I found one rather huge wingy one staring me in the face. And I then proceeded to contact the site owners using the contact menu at the footer but then, another bug right there — it’s a dead link. With these two giant bugs, I headed back to the internship Slack Channel to report and show my evidence.
